PEMF Research Studies and Applications

Here is a Summary of Scientific Studies regarding the benefits of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy.

We call PEMF the foundation of the RC Cellular Health Model (both) because of what PEMF does to directly raise the performance of our (some) 37.2 trillion cells - plus its amplifying effect on the benefits of other tools/modalities (as well as on the benefits of healthy lifestyle practices and professional care/training).

Because High-Powered PEMF works to improve cells, tissues, organs, and body systems PEMF has (virtually) universal application and benefit to EVERYONE (except where contraindicated by pregnancy or pacemaker).

A predictable outcome of employing PEMF is that:

  • 95% of people report less pain, better range of motion, more energy and a greater sense of well-being after just one session.
  • Users typically hold these improvements for 4 hours to 4 days (based on how long their cells can hold the correct charge); repeat use (plus incorporating complementary tools) typically enables the cells to hold these initial benefits longer.
  • Best of all PEMF initiates a process of systemic improvement that has broad application across a wide range of conditions and needs.

This breadth of PEMF application and benefits is well-illustrated in the aforementioned Summary. To put in perspective the magnitude of studies conducted on PEMF and the breadth of topics - we created this real-time lookup of PEMF and 40+ topics/conditions that updates as new studies are added.

When we created the listing in December 2023 there were a total of 860 PEMF studies listed; as of October 2025 there are 965. In the information presented below we list the number of studies in December 2023 so readers may gauge growing interest in certain uses. For example the current number of PEMF and pain studies is 191 in October 2025 (compared to the original 161 we found in December 2023). The use of PEMF for Inflammation also grew significantly from 67 studies to 87. The use of PEMF for cancer increased from 55 to 68 studies – 5 of which were related to breast cancer. The use of PEMF for musculoskeletal disorders grew from 178 to 210 studies. PEMF use with Arthritis increased from 67 to79 studies and Osteoporosis from 81 to 93 studies. Interest in PEMF use related to aging increased from 23 to 34 studies.
